The finishes are beautiful and feel like silk!  The Amish use the most chemically resistant finish, called conversion varnish.  This finish will hold up to your toughest spills including acetone and alcohol.  The specialized glaze finishes appear naturally worn for a rustic look. Glazing is the process of applying a translucent stain to the surface and then wiping it off to create an aged appearance.
